Friday January 19th

I finished Nier Automata, kind of. I finished one part of it. It looks like you kind of replay as 9S (the male android) and see the story from his perspective. Except I've noticed two things that seem, off.

I don't think I saw the cutscene between 2B and 9S where he tells her that his memory after they rendezvousd is gone. Which, is kind of weird considering they've otherwise shown ever other cutscene so far.

Secondly, while I was heading over to the desert area doing the main storyline I came across these two big ass robots. 9S then said something along the lines of, "Hey... haven't we seen those before?" with the robots then following it up with "Glory to machine kind". I know for a fact that wasn't in the original playthrough.

I don't really know what's going on, what's gonna happen or anything since I'm walking into this game pretty much completely blind, but I hope it has a somewhat happy ending.

Speaking of my original playthrough, I really enjoyed the game and I'm really happy that there's still more to the story. I heard that there was around 30 hours of story, so when I thought I got to the end in about 11 hours I felt kind of bummed. That ending too man! I felt myself almost tear up, not even gonna lie. The ending for it seemed a little vauge, but overall happy. But, that was "Ending A" I guess. And not the true ending, so we'll see how this all plays out.

But for the actual playthrough before I got side tracked about the ending. I enjoyed it, I didn't really struggle too much at any points. Although there were some close calls. I struggled at the very end at first because I had to do boss fight after boss fight with no chance to restock on healing items, so when it came to the final boss I literally could only be hit four times. I eventually said fuck it reloaded a save that took me a tiny bit before the final boss and went and got a bunch of healing items and then did it on the first try.

The music for the game is really nice as well, like reaaaalllyy nice.

I don't think I've had that much fun playing a single player game in well, awhile. The last one I played was Red Dead Redemption 2, and I haven't even finished that yet. I don't think I will either. It's not a bad game by any means, I just played it more for the online then anything else. Honestly, if it weren't for me recognizing that I should sleep I'd still be playing it right now.

I haven't really done anything interesting. I know me and Hayley said we'd try and hang out this month, but I don't know. She's really pretty now, like way out of my league pretty. Not that I really feel shy around her at this point, but still. Ben has been saying he wants to hang out as well. I should definitely try and arrange something with them.

Tracking down some translations for Arc 5 for Re Zero was hard. The website I was gonna use had the links for Arc 5 copywrited, although Arc 4 was still fine. I eventually managed to get a hold of some, although it was a pain and I had to download Mega and store the PDF files on there because for some reason they won't download to my phone. I dunno if it's just me, but I swear the chapters are way longer now. Not that it's a problem, far from it. I just know that in Arc 4 I could breeze through a whole bunch like no problem, but towards the end of Arc 4 and now with Arc 5 it's sometimes taking me half an hour to finish a single chapter. Oh yeah, the files I have only go up to about chapter 40. So it'll be a pain probably to track the rest down. I'm determined though, I love Re Zero.

Nothing else to say really. I played For Honor with Ian and William last night, it was fun but William kept being disconnected since he lives on the other side of the world (literally) and Ian isn't very good and fails to see where he messed up. Not trash talking him at all, he just needs to learn what he messes up on so he can improve instead of always blaming the game.

I've got this appointment with Mark on the 14th, so that'll be fun.

Oh and I finished Aggretsuko on Netflix. Really funny anime.
